SCHOLARSHIPS

UG:

The following Scholarships are given to the students received from the concern Government Welfare Departments.

1)BC/M.B.C. – Received from Backward Classes & Most Backward Classes Welfare Department, Cuddalore (Govt. Quota only)

    • Those candidates who belong to BC / MBC / DNC community are eligible for this scholarship.
    • The annual income of the parents should not exceed ₹ 2,50,000/-.
    • The candidate should have 75% attendance every year.
    • The candidates who are admitted through Single Window System (GQ) only are eligible.
    • The scholarship is renewable every year on promotion.

          Certificates to be enclosed with scholarship application

    • Original Income Certificate from Tahsildar Office
    • School Attendance
    • CertificateCopy of Community Certificate
    • Copy of Aadhar Card
    • Student Bank Account Details
    • Government Allotment Order (GQ).

2)SC/ST – Received from Adi Dravidar Tribal Welfare Department, Cuddalore (Govt. & Management Quota):

        • Those candidates who are Indian citizens and who have passed School leaving examination, viz. Higher Secondary/ Indian School Certificate, etc. are eligible for this scholarship.
        •  The income of the parents should not exceed ₹ 2,50,000 per annum.
        • The scholarship is renewable from year to year within the stages of education.
        • The candidate should not be in receipt of another scholarship/assistance from other sources.
        • The scholar should have 75% attendance every year.
        • Certificates to be enclosed with scholarship application
        • Original Income Certificate from Tahsildar Office

3)Minority – Minority Welfare Department, Chennai (Merit cum means based Scholarship – Govt. & Management Quota):

      • a) Minority scholarships – for all minority community
      • b) Students joined under Government and Management Quota
      • c) Income upto Rs. 2.5 Lakhs per annum
      • d) Max: Rs.25000/-
      • Certificates to be enclosed with scholarship application
      • 1) Copy of Income Certificate
      • 2) Copy of Aadhar
      • 3) Bonafide Certificate from College
      • 4) Copy of +2 Mark Sheet
      • 5) Student Bank Account Details

4)FIRST GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP-TAMILNADU GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP

      • a) Those candidates who belong to OC / BC / MBC / SC / SCA / ST community are eligible for this scholarship
      • b) Candidates who undergo graduate study for the first time in the family are only eligible and there should not be any graduate other than the applicant
      • c) The candidates who are admitted through Single Window System only are eligible(GQ)
      • Certificates to be enclosed with scholarship application
      • 1) First Graduate Certificate from Tahsildar Office
      • 2) Joint Declaration by Parents and Students

5)7.5% RESERVATION QUOTA (GS):

      • a) The 7.5 percentage seats on preferential basis for Government School students who have studied from 6th to 12th standard in State Government are applicable for all categories of reservation including the “General Category”.
      • Certificates to be enclosed with scholarship application
      • Copy of +2 Mark Sheet
      • Copy of Aadhar
      • Allotment Order

6)PUDHUMAI PENN SCHEME :

      1.  To enhance the enrolment ratio of girls from Government Schools and Goverment Aided(Tamil Medium) to Higher Education Institutions, the financial assistance of Rs.1000/month will be provided to the girls till the completion of their UG Degree / Diploma / ITI / any other recognized course.
      2. In Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme ,the enrolment ratio of boys from Government Schools(Tamil Medium) to Higher Education Institutions, the financial assistance of Rs.1000/month will be provided to the boys till the completion of their UG Degree / Diploma / ITI / any other recognized course.
      3.  The incentive amount under this scheme will be disbursed directly to the student’s Bank Account.
    1. Tuition fee waiver concession granted by Govt. who is the first graduate in the family, for the students admitted under Govt. Quota -I year as well as Lateral entry students-II year B.E. from the year 2010-11 onwards.

7)KCET MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

 8)SISTER INSTITUTION SCHOLARSHIP:
              a) Sister Institution Scholarship for UG admissions are given to Students who have completed their Higher Secondary Courses in the following Schools run by the trust headed by our Chairman
                        i) Krishnasamy Memorial Matriculation Higher Secondary School,
                       ii) Krishnasamy Matric Higher Secondary School of Excellence 
                       iii) Krishnaswamy Vidyanikethan Senior Secondary School (CBSE)

              b) Also students who have completed their diploma in “Krishnasamy Memorial Polytechnic College” are given scholarships for B.E./B.Tech. – Lateral Entry admission.
             c) Sister Institution Scholarship for PG admissions are given to Students who have Completed their UG degree in the following Colleges run by our trust
                         i) Krishnasamy College of Science, Arts & Management for Women
                        ii) Krishnasamy College of Engineering & Technology.

9)GIRLS SCHOLARSHIP:

Keeping in mind the importance of Women’s Higher Education, the girls scholarship was introduced and given to girl students who are admitted to B.E./B.Tech. on first come first basis.
