Research and Development (R&D) is the root of the innovation, yields the fruits of creating new products and processes. KCET is keen about the development of society and the individual in terms of knowledge, motivates the research activities through the R&D cell. Through the inculcation of R&D activities, KCET aims in enhancement of knowledge among the students and faculty for the betterment of society and environment.
To pave the way to the fruitful garden of research activity, KCET provides opportunities for the students and faculty to interact with the leading researchers who were pioneering the research activities such as research proposals, students project proposals in various domains. This cultivates the research activities among the students progressively and as a feather in the crown, the students received funding for Student Project Scheme under Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST).
On top of that, KCET also encourages the faculty members to actively involve in research activities by motivating them to pursue their doctoral and post doctoral research works. In addition, the faculty was encouraged to apply for research and seminar funding from various government agencies like ISRO, CSIR, SERB, TNSCST, etc.
To create a land of research, KCET provides a well developed infrastructure to the students and faculty for their research and had offered research labs in the stream of Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.
